Brief chosen by Phil:
Dreams and Nightmares:
See sketchbook and tutor comments for 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 evidence
Photo shows Phil doing some photoshop work creating fantasy worlds for dreams.
You can see Phil working on the ida here - drawing the dream events before designing the desk contents and background details.
Following feedback with tutor and another student it was suggested Phil did more hand drawing and calm up with he idea of a person sleeping and showing what they are dreaming is linked to things around them.
Phil found a photo of a man asleep at his desk and firstly added photoshop images before turning his attention to producing a large scale drawing with more detail in it.
You can see Phil working on the ida here - drawing the dream events before designing the desk contents and background details.
The final piece is on the wall in the classroom - it wasn't photographed before lockdown / college closure . It lacks finesse but shows much of Phil's drawing skills and certainly adheres to the chosen brief of dreams and nightmares - showing some of his humour and a few of his personal interests.
3.1 / 3.2 could not be completed due to lockdown but there is evidence of these assessment objective being met in the unit 5 work (see video on blog) and this has been used as evidence to suggest Phil is able to discuss ideas and look for ways to improve work.
UNIT 2
Not started due to college closure / lockdown.
Please see tutor assessment sheets / cross referencing using unit 5 as evidence to say unit 2 assessment objectives have been achieved elsewhere.
